
📣 Making a Noise About Bullying: A Joyful Kickoff to Anti-Bullying Week On Monday 13th November 2023, we proudly launched National Anti-Bullying Week with our vibrant "Making A Noise About Bullying" event at Gulliver’s Valley—a celebration of unity, individuality and action. 🏫 22 Schools, One Powerful Message •Pupils from across 22 schools came together to shine a spotlight on kindness, equality, and inclusion. •Everyone wore Odd Socks, championing the theme of being different and being equal. 🎉 Sounds of Solidarity •Children united in a joyful ‘noise-making’ moment using party blowers—an audible stand against bullying. •Pledge Walls filled with handwritten commitments from pupils determined to create kinder school communities. 🎭 Drama that Provoked Thought and Action •Rotherham College Drama students took centre stage with a powerful Forum Theatre performance, sparking conversation around choices and consequences. •Pupils ‘hotseated’ characters, diving deep into the why and how behind their actions, becoming active thinkers and Upstanders. 🏅 Honouring Change-Makers •The Mayor of Rotherham joined us to present The Rotherham Anti-Bullying Award, celebrating schools who lead with courage and care. •These awards recognise excellence in preventing, managing, and responding to bullying, grounded in strong safeguarding and PSHE practices. 🤝 Sponsored with Pride •Special thanks to our partners at RoSIS for once again backing this important initiative with unwavering support.
