🏟️ Rotherham Anti-Bullying Awards 2018: A Celebration at Aesseal Stadium On Monday 12th November 2018, over 130 pupils and staff from Rotherham schools gathered at the iconic Aesseal Stadium to honour progress, passion, and good practice in tackling bullying. The morning was filled with inspiration, creativity, and a shared commitment to Choose Respect—the National Anti-Bullying Week theme. 🎭 Drama That Sparks Dialogue •Rotherham College Performing Arts students wowed attendees with an original drama, carefully crafted around the week’s theme. •The performance encouraged reflection and discussion, helping young people explore how respect impacts their school community. 🖊️ Poetry with Punch •Pupils took part in a dynamic micro-poetry workshop, led by visiting poet Wild Mouth Poetry. •Their bite-sized verses brought emotions and aspirations to life—creative pledges for a kinder future. 🧦 Odd Socks in Full Swing •Odd Socks Day saw students and staff proudly mismatched to celebrate difference and individuality. 🏆 Honouring Champions of Change •A visiting Department for Education (DfE) Anti-Bullying Policy representative helped present the prestigious Rotherham Anti-Bullying Awards. •Primary pupils shared heartfelt stories of how they champion anti-bullying efforts within their schools—true advocates of change. 🎶 Music that Unites •Huge thanks to Andy & the Odd Socks, patrons of the Anti-Bullying Alliance, for gifting us with a fantastic song that got everyone singing and dancing together in unity.
