Anti-Bullying Week 2025: Power for Good Campaign Reached 9,500 Pupils and Staff
The 2025 Anti-Bullying Week, themed “Power For Good”, proved to be a resounding success, reaching an incredible 9,500 pupils and staff across our schools. This year’s campaign shifted the focus from the act of bullying itself to the positive influence every student and adult can have in creating a safe and welcoming school environment.
Throughout the week, the campaign inspired participants to recognise their own power and use it to uplift others. The core message— “Your voice is your power. Use it to uplift, not to tear down.”— resonated strongly with everyone involved.
The initiative centred on three key actions:
-
See Something, Say Something: Pupils were encouraged to speak up and take proactive steps when witnessing bullying, emphasising leadership and responsibility.
-
Lift Others Up: The campaign promoted positive peer interactions, celebrating differences and fostering inclusion.
-
Be an Ally: Staff and students alike demonstrated empathy and support, standing in solidarity with those who needed it most.
Highlights from the week included:
-
Assemblies delivered both in-person and virtually across Rotherham.
-
Meaningful dialogue sparked between schools from multiple academy trusts and local authority schools.
-
The Together for Ambassadors training at Skills Street, where over 130 young people learned to recognise bullying, practise conflict resolution, and build empathy.
-
Community initiatives launched to promote kindness and respect throughout the area.
The campaign was proudly sponsored by RoSIS, whose ongoing support helped make this week possible. The Anti-Bullying Alliance’s #PowerForGood messages were shared widely, empowering children and staff to champion respect and inclusion.
This year’s Anti-Bullying Week was one of the busiest and most rewarding yet, laying the foundation for a kinder, safer school community.
